MUSC Plans New Cancer Hospital In Charleston, South Carolina

The facility will integrate inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery, stem cell transplantation, imaging, pathology, lab, chemotherapy, infusion, and radiation therapy.

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC; Charleston, S.C.) plans to build a comprehensive cancer hospital in downtown Charleston, according to a news release.

The hospital will integrate inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery, stem cell transplantation, imaging, pathology, lab, chemotherapy, infusion, radiation therapy, pharmacy, clinical trials, urgent care, and community education.

The hospital is expected to be completed within five years.
